The 2019 Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines that took effect on February 23, 2019 has tremendous impact on all corporations in the Philippines. This new legal framework introduces fresh concepts aligned with international best practices aimed at improving ease of doing business in the country, will provide more protection to corporations and stockholders, and promote good corporate governance.
This three-hour webinar will comprehensively discuss not only the new law and its interpretation, but also updates on essential Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued regulations from January 2020 up to the present to brief you on what are still relevant or have become irrelevant, and recent jurisprudence affecting corporations.
It is your business to know the significant changes in the new law to help you in your compliance, in structuring your deals, and to avoid the legal pitfalls when making decisions in board and management meetings or when doing business and investing in the Philippines.

Atty. Justina F. Callangan - She finished her term as Director of the Corporate Governance and Finance Department of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Her responsibilities included the supervision of companies that are covered by now various Codes of Corporate Governance.
She is currently a consultant of the ASA Phil. Foundation, a Microfinance NGO, Independent Director of Orix Metro Leasing and Finance Corporation of the Metro Bank Group, Director (representing the public sector) of the Securities Investor Fund, Inc., and a newly-elected Independent Director of the Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation, a PLC.
