He spent eleven years as an expatriate executive in Jakarta and Manila, organizing or managing marketing operations of joint-venture life insurance companies. From 1998 to 2001, he worked for Allstate Insurance Company (USA), and was assigned to the company’s Southeast Asia Regional Headquarters in Manila. As Regional Recruitment & Training Director for Southeast Asia, he was responsible for all recruiting and training operations of Allstate life insurance companies in Southeast Asia.

I. Program Description
The global financial crisis that started in the United States has already started to affect Asia. It is just a matter of time before the slowing global economy adversely affects the Philippine economy. In the coming hard times, many business enterprises will face enormous challenges as they struggle not merely to be competitive but to stay afloat.
Business executives and entrepreneurs will need to reinvent their companies as they search for new and better ways to do business. They will need to restructure, cut costs, innovate, provide better ways to keep customers and invent new markets. Above all, they will need to be creative because the great need for these times is for new ideas. Creativity – on all fronts and at all levels, will be the key to survival and prosperity.
Dr. Edward de Bono, widely acknowledged as the foremost authority in the field of creative thinking, originated the term Lateral Thinking®. The phrase Lateral Thinking® is now included in the Oxford English dictionary and is defined as “a way of thinking which seeks solutions to intractable problems through unorthodox methods or elements that would normally be ignored by logical thinking.”
The Lateral Thinking® seminar is a 2-day training program that teaches a deliberate, systematic approach to creativity on demand. Creativity is no longer a matter of old-fashioned brainstorming and hoping that ideas will somehow happen. There are now formal tools that can be used deliberately and systematically. Lateral Thinking® liberates and harnesses the creative energy of an individual or team. It provides a language to guide idea generation.
