There are effective ways to work and deal with expats whether one is your boss, your colleague, your client or your partner in business or in life. We will provide you with authoritative research studies and proven practical ways to give you a deeper understanding of how to effectively work and interact with people from other countries by taking into consideration valuable cultural aspects, and highlighting similarities and differences.

This program will introduce you to cultural issues that can positively and negatively impact on work relationships. It will also explain in more depth various Filipino values that you have grown up with, which in turn create natural behaviors and expectations when you interface with people from other cultures. In the discussions you will get to recognize and understand cultural differences, respect these differences, and proactively think of ways on how to reconcile these differences. With this, you can ensure better working or personal relationships with foreigners. No miscommunications and no more misunderstandings with team members, clients and stakeholders.

Course Director & Lecturer: Marie C. Segura – She is the course director and lead facilitator on cultural diversity programs of the Center for Global Best Practices. She conducts trainings on cultural diversity both for locals and expatriates in many parts of Asia including Japan, Hongkong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines, and in organizations including ADB, Deutsche Bank, Accenture, Nestle, Unilever, Mead Johnson and other multinationals. She also serves as the official Ken Blanchard leadership programs global facilitator.

Lecturer 2: Ramon M. De Leon – formerly managing director of Ayala Corporation, under the Office of the Lead Director for Infrastructure, and seconded to the various Ayala-owned subsidiaries to help in the corporate transformation of Globe Telecoms, MWSS, IMI, and BPI Family Bank. He has helped many expatriates work effectively in the Philippines. These included multi-racial Asians, Europeans and Americans.
